All tires and wheels have a specific weight to them, even when new. Sometimes a tire or wheel may weigh slightly more in one spot than another and cause the spin to be "out of balance". This condition can be noticeable to the driver and effect road noise and driveability. Imagine if one of your shoes weighed more than the other and how it would feel to walk or run in them. As your tires wear down, the tires may need to be rebalanced to prevent this condition from worsening.
